Can.Ch. Interlochen's Satin's Sophia: "Sophie" 
Sophie, and her beautiful pup, BelCoeur's Sophie's Coda, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 30, 2003. Whelped on July 22, 1997, Sophie was a finished Canadian Champion and pointed in the US. She took her class at the Labrador Retriever Specialty in Seattle, August 2001. She was a girl with an exceptionally loving, sweet, and calm disposition. She frequently went to school with Elyse who is a teacher in the Tacoma Public School District. Sophie worked extensively with disabled adults and children, bringing much joy to all who met her. A few days prior to her tragic death, Sophie went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the Nisqually Kennel Club's annual show in Lacey, WA. That day she sparkled and danced in the ring. It was thrilling to be her partner. Her daughter Coda showed great promise of following her mother's bright path, her loving and mischevcious nature already very evident. The ten remaining puppies from Sophie's March 2002 litter are showing great promise in the field and ring. Several have earned legs toward Obedience, Hunt, and Therapy titles. Her sweet temperment, intelligence, and beauty will live on. Sophie and Coda are greatly missed but never forgotten. |
