Sasha
Hi guys,

I just thought we would drop you a line and give you a picture of us with Sasha and her new best friend Declan Trevor who arrived Sept. 25th!

Sasha is doing great, and other than putting on some pounds this winter (the baby has a way of taking most of her walking time) she is a total family Champion!

We couldn't be happier with her, she is the most loving dog I have ever met! She is amazing with the baby, and loves to kiss his feet!

We were so sorry to hear about Sophie and her pup. We don't know what we would do without Sasha...

Cheers,

Kora
This is a compilation of several e-mails sent to us about our puppy Kora who is out of Sophie & Hunter. Her owner, has seizures as a result of a severe accident. - E.

Hi Elyse,

Thought I would give you a Kora update. Kora is a natural at service dog work. She is a truly born seizure dog. These types of dogs are real hard to come by. It might be within your lines. Something for you to think about.

We tested her abilities this last week. She went to work with me which was a big hit, and she did well. I put a pad, rug, some toys and water on the floor at my work station and that is where she stayed. On breaks we went out to the creek and she loved that. I have a good place to let her run and work her on breaks and lunch.

The buses scared her at first but now she is a pro. We are working on the under command. So that she will put her rump under the seat so that she doesn't get stepped on. We took her to Elmer's for dinner. Another place we worked on the under command. She lay under the table by my feet and took a nap. She did awesome.

Grocery shopping was fun too. Since she snitched a whole loaf of cheddar last time I didn't take her by the cheese this time though. Maybe next time. I draped her leash over the cart handle and she walked right along. She was definitely more behaved than most kids in the store.

Walgreen's was the place Kora decided to make a purchase. We were wandering around the store while I waited for my prescriptions to be ready. She stayed right beside me like she always does, but this time she found a ball. I am not sure how long she had it in her mouth, but it was well slimed by the time I was paying for the scripts. The cashier thought she was so cute with the ball in her mouth. I must admit she was pretty cute all happy and her tail wagging. The cashier politely asked if she brought it with her, I said no and coughed up the four bucks for the ball. So now Kora is the proud owner of a bright green ball. I guess she liked it better than the red ones she already has. Needless to say Kora and I are learning together. I will watch her better in the toy section next time.

She likes having the harness and vest put on because she knows that means we get to go somewhere. Our cat is quite put out because Kora gets to go and she doesn't.

You should be proud, Kora is a dog to behold. You did a great job raising and training her. She was exposed to a lot of new situations this last week and she did great. Thank you so much for allowing me to have her.

Emma
Ladies,

Just dropping you a note to express our deepest happiness in having Emma in our family. It is beyond words on a daily basis to explain what she means to us and how much she has impacted our lives. She possesses so many facial expressions and moods. I wonder what we ever did before she entered our life. Her intelligence and pure beauty astound us everyday.

Anyone of us in the family utters out load in wonderment at how amazing a dog she is. I kid you not that she is so sweet and loving toward us.

Yes, she can be the most mischievous and energetic girl but she usually just needs a good dose of exercise to steady her keep her content.

She is weighing about 65 pounds and has been fixed. She has put on a little weight but we are keeping the treats down as her obedience training does require those little re-enforcement treats. She is so bright and intuitive.

I am stunned at her memory and vocabulary. She does not bark except in her dreams when her paws are treading about and little yelps come out. She yawns and lets out little gutteral sounds. Otherwise she has maybe barked 3 times-early on when frustrated by the crate. She sleeps by our bed on a pad with no restraints.

She can never get enough of being outside so we get exercise getting up to let her out.

So we are thanking you for a job well done. She is a beautiful dog and we are in love.

Thanks again.
